Richard Gwyn is a writer and translator. He grew up in Breconshire, Wales, and studied at the LSE. Until 2024 he was Professor of Creative & Critical Writing at Cardiff University Writing. His collections of poetry include Walking on Bones (2000) and Stowaway (2019); his novels include The Colour of a Dog Running Away (2005) and The Blue Tent (2018), and he has written two memoirs: The Vagabond's Breakfast - Wales Book of the Year for Nonfiction in 2012 - and Ambassador of Nowhere (2024).
